Baccaris is a French lighting design house born from the shared passion of its founders, Jean-Edouard Cistacq and Myriam Magra, for design and timeless objects. Their collaboration, enriched by ten years of experience in the design world, led them to take a major step: creating their own house, a reflection of their identity.

The name Baccaris is a tribute to Jean-Edouard’s family heritage, as it comes from his great-grandmother, a passionate collector and seeker of oil lamps. Inspired by the elegant curves and refined materials of these cherished objects that surrounded him during his childhood, Jean-Edouard developed a fascination for shapes and light. This passion has shaped a unique vision, where each luminaire created tells a story.
